Soul and body, mind and spirit—
Perfect Jesus, come and fill!
Bread of heaven, feed my spirit;
Purest manna, satisfy;
Paschal portion, bring abundance
From the feast Your words supply.
Living Water, wash my spirit;
Quench my thirst and still my strife;
Overwhelm me, drown in mercy;
Raise me to eternal life.
King of kingdoms, rule my spirit;
Prince of heaven, bind my soul;
Lord of lightning, I surrender,
Give my will to Your control.
Humblest servant, bend my spirit;
Son of suff’ring, grant me pain;
Teach my knee the soil of service,
Lift my heart to love again.
Shoot of Jesse, surge my growing;
Branch of David, nourish still;
Graft me in, and set me bearing
Fruit and flower by Your will.
Soul and body, mind and spirit,
Emptied now, await Your will:
