A Muddy Spring

Take a moment to place your cursor over Proverbs 25:26.

What good is the spring you’ve walked miles to reach if it’s full of mud? What difference does the ornate exterior of a fountain make if the water within is polluted? Such is the predicament of the righteous person who gives in to the wicked people around him.

Will you come in contact with those who are “wicked” today? Will you interact with someone who relentlessly encourages you to do something you know to be wrong? Will you spend time with those who consistently look down on anyone who speaks up in faith about Jesus? Do your closest friends, or even members of your own family, need to come face to face with God’s perspective on their filthy way of life?

What will you do today in relation to these people? Remember, if you “give way,” in the eyes of your Creator, all you have done is muddied the spring of life and polluted the fountain of opportunity.

Today, don’t be afraid to stand up for what you know to be right! Be steadfast. Be immovable. Pledge your allegiance to the King, come what may.
