You love God. You praise God. You thank God. You ask God.
But do you fear God? We live in an age of ever-increasing casualness when it comes to our relationship with the Almighty. Let me encourage you to ask yourself periodically throughout the day:
- What good does it do to love God if I do not fear Him?
- What good does it do to praise God if I do not respect Him?
- What good does it do to thank God if I am not struck by awe of Him?
- What good does it do to ask God for the things I need if reverence isn’t the foundation of my asking?
Let’s all remember that the fear of Yahweh, the Creator of heaven and earth, is the very beginning of wisdom.
