Strive to Excel in Building Up the Church

…strive to excel in building up the church. (1 Cor 14:12)

What a great goal worth adopting this week.

As some are simply unplugging from rhythms of discipleship, STRIVE to excel in building up the church.

In a season of discontent, don’t follow the masses into a mindset of grumbling and complaining. Strive to EXCEL in building up the church.

In an age of consumerism–“I want it my way!” “What have you done for me lately?”–strive to excel in BUILDING up the church.

At a time when leaders are having to make “no-win” judgment calls guaranteed to ruffle some feathers, strive to excel in building UP the church.

Don’t wait for life in church buildings to get back to “normal.” Strive to excel in building up THE CHURCH.

For whom can you pray today? Who can you thank? Who could use a shot of encouragement? Who haven’t you seen in a while? Who is struggling? Grieving? Sacrificing? Our God has given us time, opportunity, the perfect example and powerful direction: strive to excel in building up the church.

How can you answer that call today?
