Born Again to a Living Hope

Today’s Bible reading is 1 Peter 1. Notice especially verses 3 through 5.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

LivingHope. Two very special words. Not all of life is hopeful. Not all hope is alive. But when those two special words are put together, great things are on the horizon.

Take the time to read 1 Peter 1 today and grow in your understanding and appreciation of the living hope made available by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank God for living hope!
