Spiritual Fuel for the Day: “My Grace is Sufficient For You”

You need spiritual fuel for the day. Today’s Bible reading includes 2 Corinthians 12, an intensely personal section of Paul’s letter to saints in Corinth. While I would encourage you to read the entire chapter, could I highlight where I’m finding perspective to live for God today?

“My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Cor 12:9)

Because God’s grace is sufficient for me, I can endure and even be content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Cor 12:10).

Because God’s grace is sufficient for me, I can most gladly spend and be spent for the souls of others (2 Cor 12:15).

Because God’s grace is sufficient for me, I can devote my life to the upbuilding of others (2 Cor 12:19).

Because God’s grace is sufficient for me, though I am guilty of grievous sin, as I repent of quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, disorder, impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality, I can rest assured in the forgiveness of my transgressions (2 Cor 12:20-21).

“My grace is sufficient for you.” May that profound gospel truth fuel you to lead a God-shaped life today.
