One Valley, Two Kings, and Death

One Valley Two Kings and Death

The Kidron Valley separates the city of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Two kings crossed this valley in Biblical times, heading different directions in relation to death.

  • King David crossed the Kidron Valley to escape death, fleeing for his life from his own son (2 Sam 15:23).
  • King Jesus crossed the Kidron Valley to enter death, laying down his life as a faithful Son (John 18:1).

This sermon explores what that has to do with you. It was delivered on May 25, 2014.
