Today's Bible Reading:

What is Your Life? Not Something to be Avoided, Escaped From, or Wasted

Dont Waste Your Life

What is your life? (James 4:14)

Your life is not something to be avoided, whether by old-fashioned procrastination or high-octane workaholism.

Your life is not something to be escaped from, whether by hours spent on Candy Crush or highs from crystal meth.

Your life is not something to be wasted, whether by addiction to social media or flinging yourself headlong into a lifestyle of complete self-absorption.

What is your life?

Your life is full of God-defined expectations. Don’t avoid them. Embrace them, for your good.

Your life is full of God-prescribed responsibilities. Don’t ignore them or seek to escape from them. Step up to them, as a channel of blessing to others.

Your life is full of God-given opportunities. Don’t take them for granted and waste them. Maximize and enjoy them, to his glory.

What is today? Today is a gift from your heavenly Father. Don’t waste it.
