In the Beginning: Where God Belongs

God Shaped

The Bible begins with three simple words: “In the beginning” (Gen 1:1). That’s where God belongs. In the beginning.

What if we put God at the beginning of every aspect of our lives from the beginning of 2014? At the beginning of:

  • Every day.
  • Every decision.
  • Every action.
  • Every interaction.
  • Every conversation.
  • Every intention.
  • Every dream.
  • Every endeavor.
  • Every motive.
  • Every heartache.
  • Every triumph.

What if we dedicated every aspect of ourselves as willing clay in the hands of the Master potter (Isa 64:8)? In the beginning, God.

Make that the theme of your day and when you lay your head on your pillow tonight, you won’t be sorry. Make that the theme of your week and it will be productive in the areas that matter most. Make that the theme of your journey through 2014 and you will live this year to the glory of God.

The glory of God. That’s what this universe was intended to be all about. From the beginning.
