Day 9 of Powerful Prayer

32 Days of Powerful Prayer

Scripture for the Day: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Tim 2:1-2)

Thought for the Day: Governing authorities were God’s idea (Rom 13:1-7). God wants the citizens of his heavenly kingdom to pray for those in positions of earthly authority.

Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, I pray for the governing authorities of my own nation and the nations around the world. May your people have the freedom to lead peaceful and quiet lives that glorify you. May your will be done among the nations of earth as it is in heaven.”
