Day 8 of Powerful Prayer

32 Days of Powerful Prayer

MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th  •  MY PLEA FOR GRACE

Scripture for the Day: “Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.” (Psa 86:4-6)

Thought for the Day: The God who hears our prayers is good. He does good. He is willing to forgive. His love is steadfast. It overflows for those who are willing to humble themselves under his mighty hand. In Psalm 86, David describes himself as “godly” (86:2). And yet, he remained sensitive to his desperate need for grace (86:6). Spend prayerful time today focused on the amazing grace of the God who is good.

Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, your grace is… I need grace for… Help me to be gracious in…”
