Scripture for the Day: “These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deut 6:6-9)
Thought for the Day: Too often, our thoughts of God are reactionary—that is, in response to a problem—rather than proactive, a part of our everyday lifestyles. “In the beginning, God.” It doesn’t just belong in Genesis 1:1. It belongs in your day. Today. Shaping every aspect of the day.
Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, help me engrave your words on the tablet of my heart. I want you as the center of my life. I need you as the center of my life. I joyfully yield to you as the King of my life.”
