WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30th • PRAYER FOR ELDERS
Scripture for the Day: “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” (1 Tim 5:17)
Thought for the Day: Those men who, by God’s design, watch over our souls (Heb 13:17) have undertaken an absolutely awesome responsibility. They are to be obeyed. They are to be submitted to. They are serving as those who will give an account. They need our prayers and encouragement.
Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, I thank you for the gift of godly elders. I pray specifically for… May you use me as an encourager in the lives of your servants. Help me to be a member of the flock that allows them to do their work with joy and not with groaning. As you have already told me, that would truly be of no advantage to me, little help to them, and no glory to you.”
