Day 21 of Powerful Prayer

32 Days of Powerful Prayer

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20th  •  PRAYER FOR DIFFICULT PEOPLE

Scripture for the Day: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matt 5:44-45)

Thought for the Day: We need to pray, not only for ourselves, but for others. This includes those who do not treat us well or put us down for our relationship with Christ. By God’s design, it is hard to harbor ill will towards someone I am praying for regularly.

Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, help me to remember today that you make your sun rise on the evil and on the good. You send rain on the just and on the unjust. I, myself, am unworthy of your wonderful grace. I pray for the difficult people in my life. I pray for patience, perspective, endurance, and healing.”
