Today's Bible Reading:

Day 16 of Powerful Prayer

32 Days of Powerful Prayer

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15th  •  THE LORD OF THE HARVEST

Scripture for the Day: “[Jesus] said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” (Matt 9:37-38)

Thought for the Day: Jesus said these words after seeing the crowds and recognizing that they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. People desperately need a relationship with Jesus. He instructed his disciples to earnestly pray for laborers who would work to bring people to Jesus.

Seeds for Today’s Prayers: “Father, there are so many people around me who are harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. I pray to you, the Lord of the harvest, for laborers who will bring people to Jesus. I pray that you would use me, as you see fit, to bring someone to Jesus.”
