Romans 10 is built on two foundational points: there is such a thing as the “righteousness of God,” and God is willing to declare certain human beings as “righteous.” In Romans 10, Paul addresses the Jewish rejection of God’s mercy (10:1-4), the needlessness of missing out on God’s blessings (10:5-15), and that the Jewish rebellion could not be chalked up to a lack of revelation, but a lack of submissive faith (10:16-21).
