Christ the Cornerstone

A lesson I preached in the A.M. assembly of January 25, 2008 at Laurel Canyon.

The opposite of “living hope” (1 Peter 1:3) is dead resignation.   Dead resignation takes away people’s hopes and dreams of change and growth.   The message of the early verses of 1 Peter 2 is that God wants us to feel longings, to experience cravings for the pure spiritual milk, that by it we may grow up into salvation.   But how?   This lesson encourages us to build on the only true and lasting cornerstone, Jesus the Christ.

  1. I love the cornerstone graphic with the cross. Where did it come from? Can we get permission to use it locally at our church?

    Thank you.
