Striving For Single-Mindedness

Take a moment to reflect on James 1:7-8.

Here’s today’s challenge: “I will strive for single-mindedness in everything I do.”

  • In the things that I say…
  • In the ways that I say them…
  • In the decisions I make…
  • In my dealings with others…
  • When I’m around my friends…
  • When no one is looking…

…I will be a single-minded disciple of Jesus.   My mind has been set on things above.   I will live above the standards of this world.   I will not submit to hypocrisy.   Today, I will abide in the stability that comes from single-minded devotion to God’s higher standard.

Doubts and double-mindedness lead away from the pathway of life.   Determination and focus are the disciplines God will bless.   Remember that throughout your day.
