Thankful For Helpful Parents

Take a moment to read Proverbs 1:8-9.

Have you been blessed with parents who taught you the Creator’s will from a young age? If so, make sure to pause and appreciate that gift throughout the day. Those of us who grew up with godly parents can’t put a price tag on such a privilege.

But even if you didn’t have a father or mother dedicated to teaching you the ways of the Lord, we can all resolve to be that sort of blessing to our own children. That’s also a goal worthy of your day and its opportunities.

Let’s be thankful for those who shared with us the good news of Jesus Christ, whomever they are. But let’s also resolve that we will grow to be able and willing to share that good news with others.

When godly instruction is taught and obeyed, the value can only be measured in terms of eternity. Make your Father proud today in whatever ways you can.
