Today's Bible Reading:

The Excellent Ones

Psalm 16:3 provides the thought for the day.

As a Christian, you are a saint.   You are one of “the excellent ones.”   You do not enjoy that privilege because of anything you have earned, but because of the selfless sacrifice of God’s own Son.

Today is Saturday, a day filled with possibilities.   Odds are, you have several things you would like to accomplish and enjoy throughout the day.   But whatever you do, wherever you are, remember, tomorrow is the Lord’s day.   Tomorrow you have been called by your gracious Father to spend meaningful time in praise, thanksgiving and remembrance with other saints.   That demands preparation, both physically and mentally.

What’s hindering you from doing what you can to make sure that the highlight of your weekend is time with “the excellent ones”?   Live this weekend in the footprints of David.   “As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
