For Fear Of…

Take a moment to read John 12:42-43.

Have you recently come to a crossroads in a conversation where you had the opportunity to tell someone what you believed and why? Did you take advantage of it? If you’re like most of us, too often you allow golden opportunities to share your faith pass by. Why?

  • For fear of standing out
  • For fear of sounding weird
  • For fear of what others might think
  • For fear of alienating yourself
  • For fear of being laughed at

The passage above tells us that you’re not the first to deal with such fears. However, we would all do well to remember the words of Jesus in Mark 8:38 throughout the day.

What impact might be made for the Master if you live today with no shame over your relationship with the Son of Man?
